Birthed from longing hearts, “Still” is a collection of songs that look for peace, hunger for stillness, and eventually find comfort in the solitude. Using voices as instruments and instruments as voices, Lana Winterhalt and MoonBell create a diverse instrumental soundscape to explore: light percussion like the crackling of sticks beneath your feet, delicate synths that fall like rain on the path, and ominous bass that lingers like a dark cloud over the valley. Fusing both of their unique styles,

Lana Winterhalt and MoonBell collaborated on every aspect of the production, from recording instrumentation and vocals right to mixing and final mastering. Despite having very few lyrics, “Still” manages to be a deeply evocative album, gentle enough to be the soundtrack for your journey, yet intricate and powerful enough to be a fully immersive listening experience.

To accompany Still, the album, we present "Still: A Book of Poetry", which is a collection of 6 works from writers across Canada: Fontine Beavis, Olivia Onuk, Nate L.R., Justin Eisinga, Robert Campbell Schmidtke, and Lana Winterhalt. This incredibly gifted group of writers each chose a track from the album which then inspired their words, paired with photography by MoonBell. All proceeds from sales go to West Central Women’s Resource Centre in Winnipeg, MB. Books can be purchased at www.lanawinterhalt.com/merch
